The instructions on the installation page are self explanatory, but here they are again:. All these choices can be edited on the Site Global Configuration page, under Server options after the installation is completed. Note, you will break your installation if you change these settings after installation unless you have a complete copy of the current database being used by the Joomla!

Common uses would be to update the username and password of the database or to complete a move of an existing installation to a new host with different parameters. It is now time to finalise the Joomla!

The last page of the web browser installation contains all the information about the installation. This includes the options at the top for installing sample data and the installation's configurations at the bottom. The first options are for automatically installing sample content to the website and emailing the configuration settings. If you are new to Joomla! You can at this time choose to have the configuration settings emailed to you.

Post by imagine » Sun Sep 25, pm It works perfectly. The only thing is how can i get those tags away out of my form. In the editorfield for my 'static text' I cleared the tags. Have an off topic question for you Peter. I have got it installed, but now get an error trying to set up categories: When clicking on Manage Categories DB function failed with error number Table 'joomla. Post by random » Thu Sep 29, pm Madflow, I am using your dirty fix but I am not able to get it going so far, I have added the fix to the admin.

For some reason the installer did not upload the admin folder or some other files but I am still getting that incompatable error. Last edited by random on Thu Sep 29, pm, edited 1 time in total. Post by random » Thu Sep 29, pm I have three different Joomla installs, all the 1. A few questions It comes in the form of a mambot and a module and a component. The components are what I have installed on all three, I did try adding a mambot to one of the Joomla sites along with the component.

Excellant tutorial Peter!!!! There were a couple of minor spelling errors, only am pointing this out as I like people to point out mine. Why would one want to use a module versus a component or a mambot? Post by madflow » Thu Sep 29, pm If the admin folder is missing some files - eventually the component won't work!!! If I can recall it right, this compatibilty error is is triggered by a function which checks if there is a certain file version.

If it is not there the function returns false. I guess in some Mambo-Version there wasn't this file and Peter uses this as a compatibility hint. Just a wild guess I haven't installed facileforms on Joomla 1. They both contain this version. Cheers Flo. Last edited by madflow on Thu Sep 29, pm, edited 1 time in total. Post by random » Thu Sep 29, pm Thanks Flo for your quick response, I have added artform and Phil a form as I could not get the other to work, I should add the admin was in the zip, however it did not get installed so I ftp'ed it and tried the edit you have but still I get the incompatible error.

I think I will play around with Artrforms and see what I come up with. They were both easy installs, I will wait until this facimle is Tylenol free.
