In the mail merge main document, open the Page Setup dialog. On the Layout tab, make sure that "Section start" is set to "New page" and not "Odd page. If each letter is only one page and the section break is an Odd Page break, you'll get a blank even page between pages of text.
The same would be true of envelopes or sheets of "labels" including cards. But the truth is we could totally forget about it when such a headache occurs. So remember to check the ink cartridge first next time you running into a blank page printing issue.
Out of privacy or file security matter, we may intentionally hide some texts and make them invisible. Then when it comes to printing, there are extra operations you need to do to have them visible again unless you want a blank page. By doing so can enable you to view all previously hidden words. I assume no one will save a spam mail in your computer, right? Older documents are not affected. I can print them as they are or I copy and paste new material into it and print them. This is the only way I have been able to print new documents. When I open the word program, choose blank document and type text into it I cannot print from this new document. I must copy and paste into an old word document to print.
I will be away from the computer for a few hours now. I will check back later. I type a new document and request print. The page prints blank. If I highlight, copy and paste into an older document and request print it prints.
