It is very weird and the only thing i can compare the problem to, is the problem some windows 8 installs had with the DVD drive not showing on file explorer with some computers, and you had to do a reg hack to get it to show. My device works fine i have about 10 different micro drive's from several different manufacturers and none of them work. I have tried them on a friends Windows 7 laptop and they all work perfectly.
So i dual Boot my laptop with Windows 7 to make certain my PCMCIA slot was working and they all worked perfectly, and the slot functions correctly, so this is definitely a issue with Windows I have asked this question before and the advice i got from Microsoft did not do anything which is why I'm re asking just this time making sure i give better information.
