They give out one IP that they attach to one hardware address. That doesn't necessarily mean that they care what device it is - they just want to give you one IP. If you're running around switching devices and MACs on them there's plenty of potential for things to screw up that have nothing to do with terms of service.
Of course, they were not enforced. Facebook has forced those developers to cease and desist distribution of such software because it violates their terms of service. In other words, they make money from people visiting the site and seeing their advertisements, and so they have problems with people using the service in that way When I was first setting up NAT with a Linux box over both dial-up and RR , before ICS, SOHO routers, and even ipchains were available , I was well-aware of the rules that I was breaking.
It's too bad that those ToS aren't cached somewhere. So, I guess it's your word over mine. As you are the top dog, I guess I lose. Then once Win2K was out I switched to that almost immediately too. It's believed that the similarities are a coincidence.
An explanation emerges On the XP SP3 support threads, a Microsoft representative named Shashank Bansal stepped into the rebooting discussion, which was beginning to seem as endless as the rebooting itself.
Bansal asked for more information, then offered an explanation: "This issue happens with build of XP SP3. It happens because KB stops installation of SP3 version of gdi He also said that the problem could be solved by booting with a Windows installation disc, selecting the Repair option, then copying the "gdi That GD I The support document that Bansal referenced covers one of the eight security bulletins Microsoft issued last Tuesday, and spells out a pair of critical vulnerabilities in Windows' GDI, or graphics device interface, a core component of the operating system.
Within 48 hours of Microsoft patching the GDI, however, attackers had crafted an exploit and were using it in attempts to infect PCs, said Symantec. Whatever it is, it's more complicated than just an OS issue I also regressed and did a 1. It installs fine for me too on XP SP3, but with it happening to a number of people, there's surely some common factor somewhere. The hard bit is finding it.
It was interesting to see Collider's post And then there's the sound-card thing Edited to add I love filehippo's version history It seems that the problem happens when the progress bar is shown and if you notice on that screen you also have a "Show Details" button.
Can anyone experiencing the problem press the "Show Details" button while being stuck on the screen and post the details here?
Well, I tried. The Details sub-window opens up when I press the Show Details button but the installer is so busy pounding away at the sound board that nothing shows up. Let me know what else I can try to assist with this.
I tried of course to press the "Show Details". If your computer gets stuck like that, you start pressing everything, don't you? I don't have a screen shot, but afair the text frame pops up but stays blank.
Then the whole installer is dead as a doornail. I think, I uninstalled Defraggler v1. Then, as I mentioned above, after some desperate measures the installer suddenly worked. We have recreated the installers and submitted to our release department which will soon make them available for download.
Thats Fantastic. Your software is amazing. If anyone else has this problem, try either downloading the portable version of defraggler, or get the slim edition to see if that does the same way. Mr Don the issue was a bug and it had to be fixed, just telling folk to install a different version works for the odd user who has a problem with it, but this was a specific defraggler bug.
